Abstract

The article responds to Jarow’s critique by proposing that Śrīvaishnava theology already contains ecological ethics. Through Rāmānuja’s Vishishtadvaita, Mumme emphasizes the idea of the natural world as God's body (śarīra), calling for a revival of scripturally grounded, ethically informed environmental action within the tradition.
