Rose argues that the Upanishads support an “apophatic pluralism” that transcends sectarian boundaries. He analyzes key passages that, while using specific theological language, ultimately gesture beyond religious categorization. Challenging exclusivist interpretations, Rose proposes that the Upanishadic silence on final definitions encourages a mystical pluralism rooted in shared transcendence.
